The FOURTH Annual PIRA CONGRESS will be held at the BIRCHWOOD HOTEL in July 2012 NOTE that it will be held over 3 days this year - 20, 21 and 22 July The reason for the three day congress ( as opposed to the traditional 2 day meeting of the previous 3 years) is, as you will notice from the logo above, that we plan to try and make it a congress for the southern hemisphere. The idea being that for people from the southern hemisphere to get to Europe or America is prohibitively expensive, so if we can offer a congress of international standard they would come here which is less expensive for them. It will be more worth their while to come and attend a three day meeting than just a two day meeting. South Africa. “A World in One Country” also has fantastic opportunities for pre and post congress tours which are being offered by the congress organizing company. We plan, therefore, to hold a meeting of international quality with numerous international speakers etc. Please see the academic program elsewhere on this website.
Of course we invite the local South Africans to attend in the same numbers as previous years, but maybe even more due to the number of overseas speakers etc. Please diarize the date and keep it in mind when planning your year for 2012.
